The Ochsen stands for meat enjoyment with tradition, because meat of the highest quality and hospitality have been a tradition at the Gasthof zum Ochsen in Arlesheim near Basel for over 300 years. Barbara and Christoph Jenzer not only run the in house butcher's shop but also the hotel, which was completely renovated in 2017. In all 35 modern rooms, photos from the family chronicle have been immortalized on unique wall wallpaper. This means that each room is unique and conveys the unique family history and connection to the in-house Jenzer butcher's shop.
